2007 High School Cultural Exchange Program
Finca Project's High School Cultural Exchange Program serves to introduce students
to the concepts of ecological literacy.
The goal of this program is to create strong environmental leaders of tomorrow by exposing
students to the complex ecological, cultural and economic issues facing the environment today.
Students will aid in our community-based reforestation projects - working with farmers,
local students and community leaders to restore the once-great rainforest of southern
Costa Rica.
Students will:
    -Live with a Costa Rican family.
    -Work with local high school students.
    -Aid in small-scale reforestation projects.
    -Become ecologically literate through our diverse curriculum.
    -Practice their Spanish skills.
    -And, most importantly, have fun!
Activities include:
    -Trips to the rainforest
    -Beach excursion
    -Field trip to Wilson Botanical Gardens
    -Guest Speaker at Finca Loma Linda Agroecology Research Station
    -Dance lessons (Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue…..)
    -Cooking classes
2007 Program Dates
Summer 2007 (North American Summer).
We have 5 two-week Summer Sessions. Students are expected to
arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica by the first Sunday of the session. We will return to San Jose
by the last Saturday.

**Note we also create special groups throughout the year. If you cannot attend our Summer
Sessions, email us and we will be happy to work something out. Graduating High School students,
College students, and adults also might be interested in our
Internship program .
